I AM so pleased that someone else feels the same way about some of the problems encountered when wheeling a pushchair. It is a challenge and with so many parked cars on the pavement it has become a real danger.
It can be so dangerous that I really feel strongly about this issue. Pushchairs and wheelchair users are at risk and things need to change, especially when it is illegal to park a vehicle on the pavement and there is a fine attached to it if someone showed photo evidence with time, location and reg plate.
I just don't see why pushchairs, wheelchairs or mobility car users should have to put their lives at risk on our busy and dangerous roads while cars can be parked in a more appropriate way.
The continuous challenge is a regular part of my routine. As a mother of twins I can't escape pushchair challenges. If it's not parked cars it's dog muck on the pavement, the lack of parent and child parking in the town centre or poorly designed shops that create shopping mayhem. Sadly its all become part of being a parent as we all try to cope and deal with further unnecessary challenges.
