AN Evesham man was admitted to Worcestershire Royal Hospital on Monday afternoon after falling ten feet from a plum tree.
An ambulance was called to Lower Haselor at 4.15pm to treat a 62-year-old man who had been knocked unconscious and sustained chest and back injuries in the fall.
The man was believed to be picking plums from the tree before the fall and the County Air Ambulance was also called out for assistance.
West Midlands Ambulance Trust spokeswoman Jenny Procter said: "The patient was in a lot of pain and was suffering from breathing difficulties and chest injuries. He was treated by paramedics at the scene, then transferred onto a spinal board and taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital by the air ambulance."
An air ambulance spokesman said: "We were called out to attend the incident and when we arrived the man was complaining of chest and back pains. He had previously been unconscious."
The man's injuries were described as non-life threatening.
