Radstock Town 1, Evesham United 6
SIX more goals in this season's FA Cup tally and, more importantly, another £2,250 in the coffers, writes Mervyn Collins
That was Evesham's reward for Saturday's romp at Radstock where the first qualifying round tie was as good as settled inside the opening ten minutes.
Mark Owen converted from the penalty spot after he had been tripped in the area after five minutes and Richard Ball's clinical finish doubled the lead five minutes later.
Both players had other chances before the break but the Robins replicated their start within ten minutes of the restart courtesy of Ball and Steve Lutz.
The visitors prised open the Town rearguard at will and it was a surprise that it took until the 74th minute for substitute Dean Curtis to curl in the goal of the game from 25 yards.
Dan Schuster's reply five minutes later from a rare Radstock attack spoiled hopes of a repeat of Evesham's 6-0 victory in the previous round but Terry Moore's own goal with six minutes left on the clock added to home heartache.
