WORLD Cup fever brings out all the part-time patriots. All of a sudden, a place called `In-ger-lund' becomes very important indeed.
I even saw a St George's flag hanging on the wall of a Worcester offenders' hostel. I presume that the inmates were once so adept at their trade that they could have robbed for England.
Judging by the behaviour of some fans, I would say that rather than bring honour to their country, a lot of these revolting individuals bring nothing but shame to their native land. For some people, the red cross on a white background is nothing more than a flag of convenience.
