IT was sun, ‘sea’ and sand for the pupils, parents and teachers of a Worcester primary school.
St Clement’s Primary School, Henwick Road, St John’s, transformed itself into the seaside – complete with shipwreck, undersea world and puppet theatre.
Reception, pre-school and nursery children all enjoyed the day that they helped to plan and organise as part of their ‘out and about’ topic.
Dressed up as swashbuckling pirates, the youngsters enjoyed the use of a paddling pool. Jackie Castle, the early years co-ordinator, said: "The children have really enjoyed this topic and have learnt so much by bringing the seaside to school."
