A LOG cabin housing a voluntary-run pre-school has been officially opened.
Lord and Lady Sandys of Ombersley both attended the grand opening of the Tree House Early Years Centre on Friday.
We previously reported in your Worcester News how the 3Bears Pre-School, which had operated from Ombersley Memorial Hall for the last five years, was looking for a new base and Ombersley Endowed First School agreed to place the cabin on its site.
With the help of grants, volunteers helped raise more than £180,000 to fund the building.
Work started in July last year and the pupils were able to use the cabin at the start of the year.
The Tree House is operated by a management committee including representatives from the school, the Lloyds Educational Foundation, and the wider community. It is a non-profit-making body.
