IN Peter Reynolds’s absence, Malcolm Delingpole chaired Worcester Anglo Hellenic Club’s 15th annual meeting. The previous year’s activities were briefly reviewed and a special tribute was paid to David Leggott for his many years of service to the club. The treasurer, Pat Bosworth, reported a healthy financial situation. The committee was re-elected en bloc.
Following this brief business meeting, several members gave brief talks, recitations and slide presentations on various aspects of the Greek world. These included: the Tunnel of Eupalinos, Easter in Tilos, excerpts from Kazantzakis’ Travels in Greece, Ochi Day and updates on Cyprus and Thassos.
The raffle was won by Loretta Proctor. The next gathering will be for the annual garden party on Saturday, July 17. For further information about the club, visit our website on wahc.org.uk.
