TOTS at a pre-school have put their best feet forward to raise cash for less fortunate children.

Nearly 40 youngsters at St Peter’s Pre-School, Droitwich, took part in this year’s Barnardo’s Big Toddle, the UK’s biggest sponsored walk for underfives.

It is the third time the pre-school, based at St Peter’s Church, has been involved in the annual UKwide charity event and children stepped up to the challenge to beat last year’s total of more than £300.

Money raised through the toddle goes to Barnardo’s projects for under-fives, including special groups for parents and toddlers, fostering and adoption services and practical help for disabled children.

Pre-school manager Trudi Harris said: “We are absolutely delighted to take part again and hope to beat our last year’s Barnardo’s Big Toddle total and raise even more to help less fortunate children.

“Our thanks go to all our children, their parents and families for their hard work and efforts to raise this sum. We are extremely proud of them.”
