A SCHOOL fair went down a storm.
Staff, pupils and parents enjoyed a good knees-up at Abbey Park Middle School, in Abbey Road, Pershore.
The annual summer fair was opened by town mayor Chris Parsons with games and entertainment led by Evesham Hospital Radio.
Headteacher Lynn Evans said she was overwhelmed with the efforts of pupils, who ran many of the stalls.
“Events like these are such an important aspect of school life because it’s not just about raising money, it’s about embracing community spirit and I’m thrilled that our children are consistently keen to be actively involved.
“It’s always nice to see so many families of pupils both past and present coming together socially and I cannot thank our mayor and mayoress enough for all the support they show our school in kindly attending these events. It means a lot to both the staff and pupils,” she said.
