RUNNERS are being encouraged to limber up for the second Worcester Half Marathon in aid of St Richard’s Hospice.
The 13-mile half marathon will be held at Top Barn in Holt on Sunday, September 5, on a multi-terrain, off-road course Hospice fundraising manager Tricia Cavell said: “Our first event last year was a great success and we would like to make it even bigger and better this year.
“So many people are running now and it’s great to have a goal to aim for. Not everyone is ready to tackle the full London Marathon but this run will give them a really good challenge.
“It’s just outside of Worcester, easy to reach and there is plenty of room for spectators and supporters to cheer the runners on.”
The event will start at 11am and entry is £12 for affiliated club members and £14 for others. Entry forms can be downloaded at strichards.org.uk/halfmarathon Email tcavell@strichards.org.uk or telephone 01905 763963 for more.
