STUDENTS from the health and care department of Worcester Sixth Form College put their skills to the test in a special food-tasting event.
More than 200 students and staff attended the Around the World food-tasting event and raised nearly £250 for charity.
The students prepared a cosmopolitan menu of recipes representing all parts of the globe. Alongside traditional English confectioneries, there was an appetising spread of international cuisine ranging from Italian chocolate salami to pakoras.
The fund-raiser was in aid of Noah’s Ark Trust, which supports children and young people affected by bereavement. Sue Cockrill, head of the health and care department, said: “We decided to raise the money as sadly this year, we have had five students who have suffered a close bereavement.”
