POLICE in Worcestershire have made a number of arrests in connection with drugs and burglary offences.

Five men have been arrested in three separate incidents over two days.

The first arrests were made at an address in Archers Close, Malvern, between 2:50pm and 3:10pm hours on Tuesday, July 6.

The three men are now in custody on suspicion of possessing controlled drugs with intent to supply.

In the second, at 8.08am this morning, a man at a second address in Archers Close was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

He has been bailed to return to Worcester Police Station on Wednesday, August 11.

The final arrest was made at an address in Pippenfield Close, Worcester, at 8.17am this morning.

A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing Methadone and bailed to return to Worcester Police Station on Tuesday, August 31.

Detective Inspector Jim Fox, of South Worcestershire CID, said: “These arrests - in connection with drugs possession and burglary - demonstrate our on-going activities in tackling these two specific types of offences, which can often be directly linked.

“Drug dealers, burglars and those handling stolen property in the Malvern area should realise that it is not a question of ‘if’ we knock on their door, but ‘when’.”
