FOUR daredevil women from a Worcester school are taking the plunge in a sponsored charity skydive.
Staff from Worcester Regency High School, where the pupils are special needs children with learning and physical disabilities, will be attempting the 15,000ft fall. They will be raising money for the school and Acorns Children’s Hospice in Bath Road, Worcester.
Katie Symmonds said: “We are very excited about the experience but at the same time extremely nervous. We are hoping it will raise a lot of money.”
Mrs Symmonds will jump alongside Sara Corbishley, Emily Atkinson and Mandy Johnson.
The tandem skydive will take place on Saturday at the Duke of Gloucester Barracks, Cirencester, Gloucestershire.
Regency High School, which was rebuilt on the old Rose Hill school site, hopes to use the money for a new mobile hoist for larger children to access specialised equipment.
Acorns Children’s Hospice works closely with the school offering respite care. To sponsor the women visit Justgiving. com/regencyskydive.
