SUPERMODEL glamour came to a city girls’ school as a rising fashion star paid a visit.

Catwalk beauty Emma Maclaren returned to her old school, St Mary’s School, Worcester, as a special guest of honour at the annual summer fete on Saturday.

The city girl went to the school until 2008 and was scouted by Models1 Agency, London, during a school trip to the Clothes Show live at Birmingham NEC six years ago.

She has modelled for top designers such as Christian Dior, Givenchy and Donna Karan and has appeared on the covers of Glamour and Marie Claire Fete visitors enjoyed all the traditional summer fete activities including a coconut shy and teacher in the stocks together with dancing displays and tai kwon do demonstrations from the pupils.

Miss Maclaren said: “I have very fond memories of the summer fete which always signalled to us that the summer holidays were nearly upon us.

“I am delighted to return to St Mary’s for this special occasion.”
