A PERSHORE company has dug deep to give £2,500 towards a new classroom at the town’s Holy Redeemer RC Primary School.
Winstanley and Co, which survived a fire that gutted half of its factory in Station Road in March, made the gesture after contacting the school.
Neil Annis, the commercial director at the firm, said: “A few of our employees have children at Holy Redeemer, I have three children there, and when we heard they needed a new classroom we were more than happy to help.”
Headteacher Hilary Rowlands said she was delighted with the firm’s generosity and revealed their contribution had helped them reach their £150,000 target. “Because we are a voluntary aided school we have to find 10 per cent of the cost of the build,” she said.
