CALLS are being made for the acting leader of Worcestershire County Council to resign over comments he made after his predecessor resigned over allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour towards female members of staff.
Councillor Adrian Hardman has faced a backlash after he said the five separate allegations against Dr George Lord “never would have seen the light of day” 30 years ago.
He has defended that remark, saying it shows how far things have moved on since then and how unacceptable behaviour in the workplace now “simply will not be tolerated”.
