A DAY of mad hatters was organised for children taking part in the Young Enterprise scheme.
Children from the Perdiswell Primary School organised the event, which included wearing a hat, a treasure hunt, hat parade, wacky dancing, raffle and colouring competition.
Pupils raised over £400 on the day that will be split between the school and Acorns Hospice.
A spokesman for the school said: “They organised the event themselves including timetabling activities, looking at budgets and profit margins, marketing and creating the resources for the day.
“As a school we are encouraging this type of work in order to prepare them to be good citizens and have the skills necessary to be successful learners and eventually workers.”
