CHER Lloyd will perform at a special family gig when she returns to Worcester next week.

The 17-year-old X Factor finalist who left the ITV show in fourth place is singing live at Tramps nightclub in Angel Place on Monday.

Club owner Dean Hill, a huge supporter of Cher, has now secured a deal for the young singer/rapper to perform an under-18s gig too.

The early show is open to families and will run from 6pm to 9pm. The late show for over-18s will take place from 10pm to 3.30am. Tickets for both are on sale now.

“It’s an absolute privilege to have her perform here,” said Mr Hill, who has welcomed 12 of the X Factor finalists to the club in recent weeks.

“For a 17-year-old girl from Worcestershire to achieve what she has is brilliant. She has a fantastic future in front of her.

“Hopefully, she’ll inspire more young people to take the bull by the horns, go for and achieve their dreams.”

Mr Hill said having the X Factor finalists perform in Worcester was a coup for local fans.

He said: “You meet them and you realise that most of them are normal people from a working background just giving it a go.”

Since the show ended and Matt Cardle was crowned winner, figures have revealed that Cher’s best performance was in week four, when she sang Shakespears Sister’s Stay to win 19 per cent of the public vote.
