HOSPITAL bosses are appealing for help from 4x4 drivers to get stranded staff to work after heavy snows.
Health chiefs need the drivers to take staff to work as the snow and ice has caused transport problems across Worcestershire.
A JCB cleared the entrance way to A&E at Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester this morning.
A spokesman for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust said she wished to thank those drivers who had already responded to the appeal but said more drivers were needed to help keep staff levels up at one of the busiest times of the year for county hospitals.
She said: "Some staff stayed in Worcester overnight and doctors have been working around the clock. Everybody is working flat out."
