THE family of Natasha MacBryde have spoken of their devastation at the loss of their "gorgeous" teenager.

Natasha, a Year 10 pupil at RGS Worcester, was killed by a train early on Monday morning near to Bromsgrove railway station.

Today, British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed the body found was that of Natasha.

Her family have issued a statement today through the British Transport Police describing Natasha as "beautiful", “fun-loving” and “full of life”.

It said: “Tasha’s family are absolutely devastated that their beautiful daughter should be taken from them in this tragic way.

“Tasha was a gorgeous, fun-loving teenager who was full of life, so it is both shocking and inexplicable to lose her so suddenly in such circumstances.

“Her mother, father, brother and their family are still endeavouring to come to terms with this loss, so we would appreciate the media’s understanding in allowing us to deal with the situation privately.”

A spokesman for BTP said: “We can confirm that the person found dead on the railway line just north of Bromsgrove railway station on Monday 14 February has been formally identified as Natasha MacBryde, aged 15.

“Miss MacBryde’s body was discovered by the driver of a freight train at around 3am on Monday 14 February. She had injuries consistent with having been hit by a train.

“At this stage, it remains unclear which train struck Miss MacBryde, who lived locally, and at what time.

“Officers from West Mercia Constabulary and West Midlands Ambulance service also attended the scene.

“Although the incident remains unexplained while enquiries continue to establish which train struck Miss MacBryde, officers are satisfied there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

"A file is being prepared for the coroner."
