A PROJECT which breaks down social barriers by uniting people aged seven to 94 was among the winners at Worcestershire County Council’s Tryangle Awards.
The Generations Together project, which sees young people from the travelling community working with older people in Warndon to create a piece of communal art, received an award in the arts category.
About 200 young people were nominated for the Tryangle Awards, which celebrate the achievements of young people aged 11 to 19.
A total of 19 deserving individuals and five groups were announced as this year’s unsung heroes in eight categories, ranging from music to citizenship and bravery.
Councillor Marcus Hart, county council cabinet member for education, presented the winners with their Tryangle Award certificates.
He said: “It has been a real pleasure to meet these young people and be able to celebrate their contributions and achievements. Everyone nominated, as well as those receiving an award, deserves high praise.”
