DANCING sensation Katie Love has battled her way through to the final of TV talent show So You Think You Can Dance?

The 24-year-old, who is originally from Rushwick, near Worcester, was given a standing ovation by the judges on Saturday night following her performance of a contemporary routine with tap dancer Matt Flint.

Louise Redknapp said she felt emotional after watching the duo on stage and described Miss Love’s dancing as “beautiful”.

Nigel Lythgoe told her she gave a “huge leap of faith” while Arlene Phillips branded the couple “stars”.

Sisco Gomez said it would be “a crime” if the pair did not make it through to next week’s final.

But Miss Love had to dance for her future in the competition once again after she did not receive enough public votes to automatically see her through to the final four.

After a solo dance off against jazz dancer Bethany Rose Harrison she was saved by Mr Lythgoe.

In next week’s grand final Miss Love will now compete against three other contestants for a £50,000 prize fund and the chance to dance in Hollywood.
