MAUREEN Matthews welcomed members and one visitor to the May meeting. A get well card had been sent to Margaret, who is in hospital but hopes to be home soon.Secretary Christine Williams gave details of the day visit to Croome Court this month and Bath Christmas markets in November.

We had invitations from Oak Apple and Swanpool WIs. Four members are going to Callow End WI for the birthday meeting. We won our last game of skittles and we have entered the competition again for 2011-12. The summer outing to Cutnall Green Farm and garden is to include a two-course supper and coffee. We had a very successful skittles evening with a buffet at the Anchor Inn.

There were two resolutions to discuss. Maureen outlined the one about library closures and Christine took the debate about mega farms. They were discussed and then voted on.

The refreshment of cheese, crusty bread and non-alcoholic drinks was enjoyed by all.

Adrian James is the speaker for the June meeting in St Mark’s Church Hall with Down the Garden Path. New members and visitors are most welcome.
