ACCUSED: Dr George Lord, former leader of Worcestershire County Council
THE former leader of Worcestershire County Council has appeared in court accused of a number of sexual offences.
Dr George Lord, 78, faces one charge of sexual assault and eight further counts of indecent assault.
He appeared before Worcester Magistrates this morning and the case was adjourned until August 2 when it will be committed to Worcester Crown Court.
Lord was released on unconditional bail until that time.
