VICE president Barbara Rowberry welcomed members to our June meeting.
Christine Williams read out invites from Swanpool, Kempsey, North Claines and Comer WIs for various events. She also informed members about the proposal to move the AGM to the same month as the resolutions meeting. This will be discussed at our AGM in October.
There were two all-correct answers of the quiz to raise money for funds so the first prize was shared. Neither person was from our WI.
The annual meal is August 17, names were taken and a board went round for theatre trips to the Swan for September and November.
Barbara introduced speaker Adrian James, a very accomplished garden photographer who took us ‘down the garden path’ of five less well known gardens. It was very interesting and the pictures superb. He was thanked by Jean.
Refreshments followed during which Mr James judged the Flower of the Month competition.
He chose Shirley’s rose.
Social time was a quiz with all the answers a name of a flower, this was won by Christine.
Next month the talk is Protection Of Unwanted Puppies.
