THE deadline for nominating a torchbearer for the 2012 Olympic Games Torch Relay closes at midnight tonight.
The relay will be coming through Worcestershire and torchbearers will be chosen from the nominees whose stories will inspire and shows how or when they have pushed beyond their personal best, whether at school, in the community or in an individual situation.
Each leg of the relay is 300 metres (about 0.2 miles). Torchbearers will not have to run. To nominate a torchbearer, click here.
The deadline for nominations is 11.59pm tonight.
A shortlist of potential torchbearers will be created and then the shortlisted nominees will be put forward to a judging panel. People will know whether they’ve been chosen in December 2011.
