STAFF at a Worcester supermarket went the extra mile for charity this weekend.
Victoria Dribe, Dominic Pugh, Antony George and Ben Servini, who work at Sainsbury’s in St John’s, cycled the equivalent of 125 miles on Saturday on an exercise bike lent to them by St John’s Sports Centre.
The team were raising funds for community carers as part of National Carers Week (June 13-19) and collected more than £200 in donations.
Mr Pugh, team leader at the store, said: “The distance is how far it would be to cycle between all the stores in the region.
“It was a really good day. We had a lot of support, especially from our older customers. It was nice to do something for charity.”
