A GROUP of 11 friends are cycling 50 miles through Worcestershire to raise money for Sight Concern Worcestershire.
Paul Handy, of St Peter’s, Worcester, has organised the bike ride and will be cycling through Worcestershire and north Gloucestershire villages along with Trevor Harbottle, Sean Watts, Ellie Gerhold, Diane O’Hare, Collette Hilson, Steve Rivett, Paul Baker, Eric Williams, Mike Vater and Steve Pearson.
Mr Handy’s partner Julie Cole-Parsons has suffered from visual impairment for the past 18 months and is receiving support from Sight Concern.
He said: “We have chosen Sight Concern Worcestershire for this year’s cycle ride because they have been extremely helpful and supportive of my partner Julie – we thought it would be a good way of thanking Sight Concern for this support.”
Sight Concern works county-wide to provide information, support and opportunities to people who experience all forms of sight loss and visual impairment as well as blindness.
