ROBOTS from Star Wars, cinema and television form part of a buzzing new exhibition.

Worcester City Art Gallery in Foregate Street, is hosting a take-over by robots between Saturday, July 16 and Saturday, September 3.

The exhibition brings together a collection of robots designed for film, television and even the home, including full-size robots, robot parts, unique film props and collectible robot toys.

Film fans will recognise RoboCop, the Battle Droid from Star Wars movie Attack of the Clones and a Lost in Space B9 robot torso made by the legendary Andy Shaw, the original Dalek builder.

Angie Bishop, from the gallery, said: “Robots come in all shapes and sizes.

“Some are friendly, others helpful, and a few are simply scary – we hope we’re ready for them to take over Worcester City Art Gallery this summer.

"This is a unique chance to come face-to-face with some very familiar robots and enjoy the activities alongside the exhibition all summer.”

Admission to the City Art Gallery is free and it is open from Monday to Saturday between 10.30am until 4.30pm.
