A MOTORCYCLIST has been killed in Wales while out training with West Mercia Police.
The man, believed to be in his 30s and from Worcestershire, died after his blue Honda motorbike was in a collision with a white campervan and a blue Vauxhall Insignia at 10.25am yesterday.
The accident happened on the A487 at Pantperthog, near Machynlleth in north-west Wales.
The man died at the scene. No one else was injured.
It is not known whether the man was the trainer or the trainee.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: “We can confirm an RTC took place in north Wales today.
"The person who died was not a West Mercia Police officer but someone from another organisation.
"The incident took place during a West Mercia Police training course. We are not identifying who the deceased person is.”
The road where the accident happened was closed until after 6pm yesterday.
