A COUNTY hospital which was slammed for its treatment of elderly patients has a 'good foundation' for improvement, a report has said.
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has a genuine commitment and desire to ensure improvements put in place following a CQC report into dignity and nutrition at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.
In a report to the Trust Board, Professor Janice Stevens said that everyone she spoke to throughout her month long review was ‘deeply saddened’ by the findings of the CQC but committed to ‘taking action wherever necessary’ to rectify and improve services and care for the future.
