ONLOOKERS were amazed when they saw a glider crash land in a field on the outskirts of Worcester.
The pilot had to abandon his flight due to the weather on Sunday and he came down safely on land between the Dines Green playing fields and Oldbury Farm.
It is believed the pilot had flown from Church Stretton, near Ludlow in Shropshire.
Andrew Brown, of Dines Green, Worcester, who took this picture and sent it into the Worcester News, said: “I've lived here for many years and never before seen a glider in a field that close to the edge of the city.
"Another 200 metres or so and the pilot would have been on the playing field and within 300 metres of houses.”
