PLEA: George Lord
The former leader of Worcestershire County Council has denied sexually assaulting a woman and indecent assaults on a teenage girl.
George Lord, 79, of Belle Vue Close, Marlbrook, Bromsgrove, entered not guilty pleas to nine charges during a 20-minute appearance at Worcester Crown Court today.
An indication was given by defence counsel Brett Wilson that an application will be made to transfer the case to another court, possibly Stafford.
