A MAN with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) called police after he went onto a train track following an argument with his girlfriend.
Thomas Raymond, of Rose Avenue, off London Road, Worcester, pleaded guilty to trespassing in the proximity of a railway or on railway property when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court.
Liam Finch, prosecuting, said police received a 999 from Raymond at about 4pm on Thursday, August 11.
The 18-year-old had been arguing with his girlfriend and a short while later was found on the railway bridge by the King George Playing Fields, in Brickfields.
Mr Finch said: “He seemed to be within the confines of the lines. In interview he admitted being on the tracks.
“It was a dangerous thing to do, not just a danger to himself but other people as well.” Mr Finch also told magistrates that Raymond has nine previous convictions, all involving violence or temper.
Becky Connelly, defending, said: “He has had difficulties in the past.
“He suffers from ADHD and reacts very badly to situations.
“He is trying very hard to deal with situations in a different way.
“He knows he must pick his areas of solitude a little bit more carefully in the future.”
Raymond was fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
