ENERGETIC skaters have been learning how to run circles around on the ice.

Sisters Abby Trow, aged nine, and Isabella, six, and Tabby Driskel, six, all completed their level one basic ice-skating skills during lessons at Ice Quest rink in Malvern.

All three sure-footed young girls are now working on their level two standards.

“The girls can skate forwards and backwards with confidence, stop and even use their inside and outside blade edges to circle around the ice rink.

“They are enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoy their lessons,” said head coach Mark Sunter. He runs six-week courses at Ice Quest for all standards.

Sportivate, via Malvern Hills District Council, is also running special courses for 14 to 25-year-olds with subsidised rates.
