BUDDING writers at a Worcester school came face-to-face with famous sports stars this week.
Year six pupils at Fairfield Community Primary School in Carnforth Drive, Brickfields, were visited by players from Worcester Warriors Rugby Club, Worcester Wolves basketball team and Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
The children were set the task of writing biographies as part of their current project exploring the key to success.
They recorded their interviews on a Flip camera and downloaded them onto their iPods, and will write up biographies about the players using the interviews.
Year six teacher and deputy head Adam Spencer said: “We are thankful to the clubs and the players for giving up their time. The children were excited and got autographs. It makes it more real for them to write biographies about someone they have met.”
