RESIDENTS in Worcestershire and Herefordshire are being urged to have their say on the way the fire service is run.
At a meeting last week, Members of Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Authority formally agreed that the draft integrated risk management plan (IRMP) action plan for 2012/13 should now be available for consultation.
The plan sets out a range of priorities for the service and a 12-week consultation period is now open to gauge opinions on the five key recommendations outlined in the document.
Councillor Derek Prodger, chairman of the authority, said: “These are only draft proposals at this stage.”
Chief Fire Officer Mark Yates said: “The recommendations in the report follow a detailed evaluation of our current prevention, protection and response arrangements and take into account input from our staff.”
The consultation is open until Thursday, December 22.
