RESIDENTS are invited to a garden centre to find out about feeding their feathered friends.

Blooms Garden Centre in Droitwich Road, Worcester, is hosting a wild bird care fortnight from Saturday, October 15, until Sunday, October 30.

Manager Andy Morton said: “We are hosting the event to raise awareness of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds’ national ‘Feed the Birds Day’ on Saturday, October 29.

“Visitors will receive free tips and advice on feeding and caring for garden birds.”

There will be two age categories, three to seven-year-olds and eight to 14-year-olds.

The winners of each age category will receive a certificate, a large flip-top seed feeder, an eight- kilogram box of seed mix and a pink bird seed feeder.
