A MAN police wanted to speak to in connection with a sexual assault on a teenager has been elminated from their enquiries.

The sex assault happened in Bath Road, Worcester at around 9am on Sunday, July 10.

A man approached a 15-year-old girl near the Commandery Texaco petrol station.

Police issued a CCTV image last month as part of the investigation and the man pictured has now come forward and spoken to police.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We can confirm we have identified the man in the CCTV image and we are satisfied he can be eliminated from our investigation.

"We are still keen to speak to anyone who has information for police about this offence or may have witnessed the assault."
