POLICE have thanked pubgoers who responded to their appeals for information about a serious sexual assault in a Worcester bar.
The Worcester News previously reported that the attack took place at the Courtyard in St Nicholas Street between 11.30pm and 11.45pm on Saturday, September 17.
Officers have said they are investigating an allegation that a woman was assaulted after going into the men’s toilets.
They have since returned to the bar to carry out checks and sent out a message asking for information via bluetooth technology.
Detective Inspector Neil Austin said: “Investigations into the serious sexual assault are ongoing and we would like to thank those that have contacted us with information following our appeals.
“I would also like to re-appeal for anyone who has not yet contacted police, but may have information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward.”
No one has been arrested. Anyone with information should call police on 0300 3333000, quoting 785/S/ 170911, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
