A WOMAN found drinking in her car with a breath reading five times the legal drink-drive limit has denied she ever intended to drive the vehicle.

Emma Moody was reported to police after a person spotted her parked in her Renault drinking vodka and coke in Barbourne Lane, Worcester, on Thursday, at about 4.15pm.

She was breathalysed and gave a reading of 175mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg and sentencing guidelines only go as high as 150 microgrammes.

Moody, aged 38, denied being drunk in charge of a vehicle.

She will next appear at Worcester Magistrates Court on Friday, November 4, for trial.

Moody has been released on bail on the condition she lives at Butchers Walk, Fernhill Heath.
