Prospective students can attend the University of Worcester's open day this Sunday, from 10am to 3pm, to find out about the wealth of full and part-time study opportunities on offer.
Lecturers and staff will be giving talks and providing exhibitions on both post-graduate and undergraduate courses and advice on accommodation and fees.
Sports, computing, teaching, business, nursing and social care are just some of the hundreds of courses available. There's also a chance to take a campus tour, meet current students and see the university's range of facilities. These include its £1m Digital Arts Centre, £3m sports centre and laboratories, modern library, 24-hour computer rooms and drama studio.
University of Worcester vice- chancellor Professor David Green said: "We've received a record number of student applications to Worcester this year. Many of our students are mature local people so it's a great opportunity to see why we've seen an 11 per cent increase in applications against a national three per cent decline. We also welcome young students. It can be a daunting prospect for some young people to move away from home, so an open day is also a chance to discover that Worcester is a very warm, welcoming place that offers plenty of support."
The university's St John's campus off Henwick Grove, Worcester, will be open to visitors from 10amon Sunday.
Both new and mature students are welcome. For further details call the university on 01905 855141 or e-mail marketing@worc.ac.uk
