DIVERS in Worcester will be swapping their air tanks for two wheels to take part in a land-locked charity challenge.
Members of Worcester Divers, their family and friends are aiming to cycle 100 miles in five hours on Saturday, November19, in aid of Worcester-based Acorns Children’s Hospice.
They will take turns on static cycle trainers, loaned by Worcester Cycle Centre, between 10am and 3pm outside Cafe Vienna, CrownGate shopping centre, and hope to raise about £500.
Claire Snead, membership secretary, said she hoped shoppers would lend their support to the team. “We’re going to bring along some kit so people can see what we use,” she said.
“The challenge is something interesting and a little different and it’s a nice thing to do at this time of year.
“We want to raise a good amount of money and everyone agreed Acorns was a good local cause to support.”

Donations can also be handed in to Cafe Vienna.
