FOUR Worcester fighters will hope they can deliver a knock-out blow when they head to Essex this weekend.
Adam Smith, Johnny Newman, Luke Ince and Sheldon Herron compete in a white-collar boxing show tonight at The City Pavilion, Romford.
The quartet all train at the JAB Fitness gym in Shrub Hill under the guidance of former world champion kickboxer Barry Lock.
He said: “They have stepped up their training over the last four weeks and I think they will do well.”
Seventeen-year-old Herron will box in the 65 kilogram category, Smith, 18, at 70kg, 26-year-old Ince at 75kg and Newman, 22, at 80kg.
White-collar boxing is increasingly popular in the UK.
Bouts are over three two-minute rounds, with all fighters wearing head guards, and scored by the 10-point system used in professional contests.
