THE organisers of the popular The Only Way Is Tolly Facebook page continue to raise serious issues after a meeting with local housing and policing teams.

The day-to-day activities of the Tolladine area of Worcester became something of an internet sensation when it was set up by Laura Robinson, Kimberley Probert and Lisa Burfitt last week.

They have now attracted more than 2,100 ‘likes’. Its aim is to give people a forum to share comments, memories and photos while having fun in a respectful manner, as well as highlighting local issues that need addressing.

Some of those issues were raised this week when they met staff from Worcester – and members of the local policing team. Miss Robinson said she was excited about the impact the group could have on the area and remained hopeful it could trigger improvements in terms of rubbish, graffiti and parkland among others. “It went really well. We explained some issues and went on an estate walkabout. We can use this to point in the right direction,” she said.

“I think really good things could come out of this. Hopefully, fingers crossed, something can be done. I am not naïve, I know things don’t happen overnight but if you can help just one person that’s making a change.”

Head of neighbourhood services at WCH, Bruce Mourby, said: “It was great to get together with a group who are genuinely interested in improving life in Tolly. We shared ideas about how all parts of the community can play a part in improving the estate and how we can make local changes that help address some of the concerns raised.
