POLICE investigating the death of a Worcester man want to trace a car similar to the one in this picture.

Andrew Heath, aged 52, was found dead at his flat in Chedworth Close, Warndon, after a suspected arson attack at around 4am on Wednesday, December 14.

A black car was seen driving around Chedworth Drive, Rodborough Drive and Cranham Drive a number of times between 1am and 2.30am, including diversions into Chedworth Close.

The car was described as being a large five-door saloon with heavily tinted rear windows and alloy wheels, most likely an Audi A4.

The driver was described as being a white man in his mid-30s and was accompanied by a white, male passenger.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Williamson, who is leading the investigation into Mr Heath's death, said: "The car was seen by a local resident who did not recognise the car or the driver, thought it looked out of place in Warndon and believed it was behaving suspiciously.

"I would like local people to cast their minds back to the night of the fire in Chedworth Close and try and remember whether or not they also saw this car driving around the area in the small hours.

"I would also like to appeal to the driver to come forward and if they have an innocent explanation for their activity they may be a useful witness or we can eliminate them from our inquiries.

“If you know who the driver may be, please let us know."
