A CORONER at the inquest into the death of Andrew Heath has ruled that he was unlawfully killed.

Andrew Heath died as a result of breathing in toxic material in the smoke from the fire which burned through his flat, abetted by his under-lying health problems.

The fire was started in a wheelie bin pushed up against his front door.

An inquest into his death was held today at the coroners court at Stourport-on-Severn.

Mr Heath was found dead in the lounge of his first floor flat in Chedworth Close, Warndon, by firefighters responding to his desperate 999 call in the early hours of December 14, 2011.

Geraint Williams, Worcestershire's county coroner, said he was "satisfied" the fire had been started deliberately and that it resulted in Mr Heath's death.

A police investigation into his murder continues but his killers remain at large.
