POLICE in Malvern are gearing up for the town’s first emergency services open day taking place tomorrow.
Part of the station on Albert Road North will be open to members of the public between 11am and 3pm and members of the emergency services and partner agencies will be providing activities for visitors and a chance to meet police officers.
The latest finger print technology will be available for people to check out and police dogs and their handlers will be meeting and greeting guests.
Children will be able to meet a police horse from Avon and Somerset Constabulary while adults can enjoy music performed by the West Mercia Police Band. There will also be a barbeque and other refreshments provided by Community Action Malvern.
Inspector Jane Francis, who is in charge of policing in Malvern, said: "Following on from the success of open days in Worcester we have decided to have our own open day so people can see what we do and meet the officers and people from our partner agencies who work to keep our community as safe as it is."
