PRESIDENT Jill Brotheridge welcomed 40 members to the May meeting.
There were details of the Worcester Federation AGM at the Malvern Showground in October and a visit to the Denman College in Oxfordshire in November.
Members were reminded that help is needed in the tea tent at the Peopleton Pony and Dog Show on Sunday, and informed that our skittles team are through to the semi-finals of the Worcester Federation skittles tournament on Thursday. Details were finalised for next month’s visit to Eckington Manor Cookery School Members then voted in favour of the National Federation of WI’s resolution to campaign for more midwives.
There followed a hot supper prepared by Kim Maric and Sue Dunne. The evening ended with a fun auction of unwanted gifts. All proceeds were donated towards the village children’s Jubilee party.
