Three types of drug were found by police when they stopped a car in Worcester.

One package, found in the car at 4.10am on August 31 last year, contained 36.2g of cannabis and the other two packages contained drugs referred to only as initials MDPV and TFMDP by prosecutor Peter Grice.

TFMDP, rated category C, involved 839 blue tablets.

Judge Robert Juckes QC said these could possibly be mimics for ecstasy.

He imposed a six-month jail term on Daniel Hughes, aged 22, of The Hop Warehouse, Southfield Street, Worcester, after he admitted possession with intent to supply at Worcester Crown Court.

Mr Grice said three mobile phones were found when Hughes was arrested and taken to the police station. These showed that Hughes had been dealing drugs for a month.

Jason Patel, who submitted references, said Hughes had started using cocaine last year when his relationship had broken down.

This had cost £1,400 a month and he had got into debt and had lost his job. His previous offending had been of a minor nature.

The judge said that although Hughes regretted what he had done, he failed to understand the danger of supplying drugs.

He will serve three months in prison and the rest of the sentence on licence.
